Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth to the rescue

As the team reached Myanmar to release the third song from the film, they were in for a rude shock.

Music composer Ghibran is on a road trip as part of an ‘audio drive’, a unique initiative to promote the audio of his upcoming flick Chennai 2 Singapore, that was kickstarted by actor Suriya a few days back. It has been nearly 11 days since the historical journey began for the composer. Ghibran and team have successfully crossed the border of Bhutan in their black Ford Endeavor and launched Poda, the second song from the film. Later, they were blocked by the highway officials for not possessing an important document!

Ghibran explains, “We knew that we were in trouble, but when the security officers came to know that I had composed songs for Kamal Sir’s films like Vishwaroopam, Uttama Villain, Papanasam, and Thoongavanam, they were thrilled. We had a chat over a cup of tea and they were eager to find out about Superstar’s stylish performance in Kabali. They even listened to the two songs from Chennai 2 Singapore and loved them. I’m glad that Tamil cinema is well-received even in this part of the world.” As the team reached Myanmar to release the third song from the film, they were in for a rude shock. They were stuck in Myanmar, due to the earthquake that hit the country with a magnitude of 5.5 on the Richter scale. But all’s well now!
