At a time when small budget Tamil films are finding it difficult to get enough number of screens for their releases, here is a dubbed film of Nani- Amala Paul-Sarathkumar starrer Janda Pai Kapiraju making its way into several theatres. Titled Velan Ettudhikkum, the movie is directed by Samudhrakani.
A political action drama, the film deals with the corruption, bribery and exposing various scams prevailing in the country. Nani plays a dual role in the film for which GV Prakash has composed the music. A strange fact is the same film was shot as a bilingual and released a few years ago. In Tamil it was titled Nimirndhu Nil and had Jayam Ravi in the lead essaying a double role. All other major cast like Amala Paul, Sarathkumar, Ragini Dwivedi, Nasser and Parvathy Nair were common to both the languages.
“It has relevance to the political scenario in the state and hence would go well with the audiences,” reasons out its makers for releasing the dubbed version.
