Kishore's experiment with Kalki

The indie movie, directed by debutant Dhilip is just 45 minutes long.

Actor Kishore, who has time and again impressed Tamil audiences with brilliant acting and his remarkable choice of films, has yet again donned an intriguing role in a new movie titled Kalki.

The indie movie, directed by debutant Dhilip is just 45 minutes long. Yasmin Ponnapa, who was last seen in Aaranya Kaandam, appears in a lead role in the film.

Talking about Kalki and his decision to go for an offbeat project, Kishore says, “I liked the script a lot. I am a scientist in the movie, and my character is trying to develop a time machine — the story revolves around this. It is more or less a tele movie; in fact, I am not even sure how long it is. ”

He gives full credit to the production team for keeping the crew completely equipped. “They left no stone unturned. For a sci-fi film like this, they provided enough resources in terms of film sets and everything,” he beams.
He is also all praise for director Dhilip as well — “The way he assembled a talented crew is commendable. Though it is not a full-length film, he has actually thought about the prelude and aftermath of the script, which is actually a great thing. I was very comfortable working with him,” he adds.

On Yasmin Ponnapa, he says,“I don’t know how to talk about her role without revealing the plot (laughs). In terms of performance, she is a fantastic actor; it was evident even in her debut project.”
