Director BR Vijayalakshmi’s Abhiyum Anuvum is making headlines every now and then. Recently, we had reported that Pia Bajpai, who plays the female protagonist, had tonsured her head for the film. The film also marks Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas’s debut flick in Tamil.
Now, the film is in the news for an intense lip-lock scene featuring Tovino and Pia. Director Vijayalakshmi feels that it has been a long time since a film has portrayed absolute romance. “We realised that and have put in our best efforts to be in sync with the present generation. We have picturised a lip lock and the need to shoot this scene was because of the script. As a director, I pitched it to my artistes and they were highly cooperative,” shares BR Vijayalskhmi.
The makers of Abhiyum Anuvum are eyeing for a monsoon release by October. “I am sure the audience, especially the youngsters, will have plenty to rejoice with,” she adds.
Ace cinematographer Santhosh Sivan is the executive producer of this flick produced by Yoodlee Films. Actors Prabhu, Suhasini, Rohini and Manobala play supporting characters. While Dharan has composed the music for the movie, Madhan Karky has penned the lyrics.
