Rupika is the new ghost in town

While Theesha is the lead lady, Kannada actress Rupika has been roped in to play the ghost.

With ghost horror genre the order of the day in Tamil cinema, a professor named Dr Maran, who has done extensive research in road safety and published a thesis on it, is coming out with a film named Pachchai Vilakku (Green Light), which talks about road safety. A message oriented movie, the debut director who has had a stint in the Film Institute, has laced a story on the horror theme and added commercial elements for screen adaptation.

While Theesha is the lead lady, Kannada actress Rupika has been roped in to play the ghost. Maran doubles up as the male protagonist in the role of a traffic warden.

Says Maran, “The movie will hail traffic policemen and talk about the sacrifice they make which has not been told so far in cinema. Rupika essays a different type of a ghost. She would be taking revenge on those who do not follow traffic rules and commit crimes.” Mahesh of Ammani fame, Tara, Manobala, Imman Annachi and Nandakumar form the supporting cast.
