Popular filmy couple Yaar Kannan (filmmaker) and Jeeva (choreographer) is set to launch their daughter Gayathri in tinsel town. Kannan, a former assistant to Mahendran, debuted independently with a horror movie Yaar, a hit film and the first production of Thanu. Presently, Kannan, who has changed tracks, is acting in films.
Talking about his daughter Gayathri, he says, “Whenever she attends a wedding or a big event, people come up to her and ask if she is an actress. This kindled her interest to don the greasepaint. She has equipped herself in all aspects to become a heroine in Kollywood.”
He also revealed that though Gayathri got offers even when she was a child, she refused and wanted to debut only as a heroine. He adds, “We are listening to scripts. I am also working on a script for her and I am planning to direct it myself.”
