Actress Gayathrie shot to fame with her debut film, Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanum, which had Vijay Sethupathi as the protagonist. Later, the actress teamed up with Sethupathi in Puriyadha Pudhir, which was earlier titled Mellisai. The film, which was completed a year ago, is yet to see the light of the day.
Now, the latest update is that the Rummy actress will once again share screen space with Vijay Sethupathi in Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, directed by debutant Arumugakumar.

Speaking to DC, she says, “I play Godavari and it’s a role that I have never attempted so far — and I don’t think I will get another character like this. We had to shoot in dense forests where there was no network — within a few days, we became close to each other and now share a great bond. I don’t have a pair in the movie, but I have scenes with Gautham, Sethupathi and Niharika Konidela.” Gayathrie has wrapped up her portions for the movie and her part was shot in the locales of Tirupati and Chennai.
We had earlier reported that Vijay Sethupathi plays the role of tribal in the movie and speculation has it that Gayathrie will also be seen as a tribal. When asked about her character, she said she doesn’t have the liberty to reveal anything about it.
Gayathrie and director Arumugakumar’s friendship go back to NPNK days. “I know him personally for years and I never knew that he can be chilled out on the sets. I’m waiting to see the film onscreen,” she states.
The actress will also be seen in a guest role in Vijay Sethupathi’s Seethakathi, directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan.
