The star power of Nadigaiyar Thilagam has increased several folds with Prakash Raj joining the film, which already has actors like Keerthy Suresh, Samantha and Dulquer Salmaan in the lead roles. The film, which is based on the life of iconic actor Savitri, has Prakash Raj playing the role of the popular producer Alur Chakrapani.
Alur Chakrapani was one of the most noted figures in Telugu cinema for his association with Vijaya Vauhini Studios, a renowned production houses. Chakrapani is also an established multilingual writer behind some notable works.
Alur Chakrapani is said to be instrumental in the development of actress Savitri’s career. His association with B Nagi Reddy laid the foundations for the growth of Telugu cinema.
A source close to the film unit confirmed the latest development — “It is confirmed that Prakash Raj sir is playing the role. The shoot is ongoing in Hyderabad and he has joined the team.”
