Comedian Sukumar, who tasted success by wielding the megaphone for Thiruttu VCD, is all set with his second directorial venture titled Summave Aaduvom. The movie revolves around koothu, one of the oldest folk forms, which is almost fading, and highlights the plight of the thousands of artistes who perform the dance. Arun Balaji, world record swimming champ, who debuted a few years ago in Tamil cinema with Sevarkodi is back in action. He essays the male lead while Leema Babu will be seen playing his pair.
“Though it is a serious subject, I have narrated it with humour infused in the script. It is neither preachy nor is it made in a documentary style. The script has a proper mix of commercial elements to make it interesting,” says Sukumar. The story traverses through three different periods and Srikanth Deva composes the music.
