Stunt Union justifies its action against Anbarivu

Sundar has also said that the Union has registered an appeal against the complaint filed by the fight masters at the Chennai High Court.

The South Indian Cine & TV Stunt Artistes Union has announced that it has dismissed popular stunt director-twins Anbumani and Arivumani from the organisation for violating rules.

In an official statement, Supreme Sundar, the president of the Union, has said, “Anbumani and Arivumani, who have been working as stunt directors in the industry, have violated the union rules regarding stunt performances. The two have, under the pretext of rehearsals, been choreographing stuntmen to perform risky rope-based action sequences which are life-threatening and without the union’s knowledge. We had asked them twice to come to the union and give an explanation for their act and both the times they never turned up. We also heard that they are threatening some of our members with dire consequences. The union’s ruling body has therefore decided to remove them from the basic membership.”

Sundar has also said that the Union has registered an appeal against the complaint filed by the fight masters at the Chennai High Court.
