Janani Iyer, who has three films in her kitty, in different stages of production, has bagged one more project — Balloon, helmed by debutant director Sinish. The Thegidi actress is playing one of the lead roles alongside Jai and Anjali in this horror film.
Speaking to DC, director Sinish reveals, “Janani Iyer plays the character of Shenbagavalli and her portions with Jai are set in 1989. This retro portion will appear as a flashback in Balloon. Shenbagavalli’s character will be similar to that of Swathi Reddy’s character in Subramaniyapuram. Janani will join the shoot in Kodaikanal for the third schedule.”
When quizzed if the Avan Ivan actress has scenes with both Jai and Anjali, Sinish becomes tight-lipped. “I think you should see that in the film. If I reveal it, I would be letting out the entire plot,” he adds. The director also states that costume designer NJ Sathya will be designing for Jai and Anjali.
Since Balloon is a horror film, we ask Sinish whether Janani appears in the film as a ghost. Without divulging any details, he asked us to watch out for the first look poster. This first-time pairing of Jai and Janani Iyer has raised many eyebrows in tinsel town.
