Simbu, who was laying low waiting for the ‘beep song’ controversy to blow over, is coming back in the open. His recently written, sung and composed ‘vote song’ brought him back into the limelight for good reasons. Having said that, the actor, who is gearing up for his long-pending film Idhu Namma Aalu with Nayanthara, has crooned the number Thaaru Maaru for composer Imman in the movie Veera Sivaji.
The movie features Vikram Prabhu and Shamlee in the lead and is directed by Ganesh Vinayak. Talking to DC about why he roped in STR to sing the song, Imman said, “Simbu and producer Nandagopal are good friends. He suggested that STR render this peppy number Thaaru Maaru. I too felt that his voice would go well with the mood of the song which was shot on Vikram Prabhu.”
