Promoted as a first of its kind in the world, debutant filmmaker and producer Shankar Thiyagarajan has attempted at a film titled 6 Athiyayam, a horror genre, which has six different films and directed by six directors. Unlike in Anthologies where different short films directed by various directors will end with each short having its own climax. But 6 Athiyayam differs.
“In my film there won’t be a separate climax for the six episodes, but they converge as a single climax towards the end of the sixth story and this is a new attempt in world cinema,” claims Shankar. He has directed one of the chapters called Ini Thodarum, which deals with child abuse where Baby Sathanya has been roped in. Others in the cast in the experimental genre include Thaman, SS Stanley, Vishnu and Kishore.
‘Cable’ Shankar, Ajayan Bala, Logesh, Suresh and Sridhar Venkatesan have wielded the megaphone for the rest of the episodes. While Sam CS of Vikram Vedha fame does the promo song, other composers include Taj Noor, Joshua, Jose Franklin and Satish Kumar.
