Model turned actress and Miss South India title winner Akshara Reddy has bagged a feature film in Tamil, which is yet to be titled. Vijeeth, who was her romantic pair in the short Happy New Year, which went viral on online platform, will play the lead here as well. Francis Selvam directs the movie.
Akshara was recently seen in a reality show ‘Villa to Village’ on a TV channel and won the Best All-rounder, Most Beautiful Face titles. “I am a fitness fanatic. I vigorously work out two hours a day, and I think that probably helped me to handle all the tasks in the show,” Akshara reveals.
Having walked more than 150 ramps, standing in front of the camera was not a difficult thing for her, she says. “I have shared stage space with the likes of Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla. The ramp and modelling experiences landed me in the short film Happy New Year, which was watched by 4 million people. I have also signed two web series and soon the announcements would come.” The new film is also made in Malay and extensively shot in Malaysia and Mauritius.
