Fahadh Faasil to play Rajinikanth's friend in Subbaraj movie

The next schedule, which will be shot in Madurai, will begin soon.

After Vijay Sethupathi and Bobby Simha being brought on board to play powerful roles in Rajinikanth’s upcoming film with Karthik Subbaraj, there’s reportedly another interesting addition to the project. Rumour has it that young M'town sensation Fahad Faasil, who made his Tamil debut as a suave corporate villain in Sivakarthikeyan’s Velaikkaran, has been offered a role in the movie.

Sources reveal that Fahad may be seen playing Rajini's friend. The first schedule of the film, a month-long stint in Darjeeling, was recently completed, and some important scenes have already been canned. The next schedule, which will be shot in Madurai, will begin soon.

Apart from Rajini and the new additions to the cast, the film also stars Megha Akash and Sanath Reddy. And though Simran has reportedly been paired opposite the lead actor, the makers are remaining tight-lipped about it. Rajinikanth is believed to be playing a college professor in the yet-untitled film being bankrolled by Sun Pictures. Anirudh, who’s working with Rajini and Karthik for the first time, is composing music for the film.
