Actress Oviya, who made a sensational debut in Tamil with Kalavani, has now almost gone into oblivion after doing few insignificant roles. Now, the M’town actress has shifted gears and is trying her luck in Kannada. The 2014 hit movie Manjapai, which featured Vimal, Raj Kiran and Lakshmi Menon in the lead, is being remade in Kannada as Mister Mamaga.
The movie, which explored the bond between a grandfather and grandson, was admired for its making. Raghavan, who did the original, will be directing the film in Kannada as well. The movie stars Ravi Gowda, Oviya and Rangayana Raghu.
Meanwhile, Raghavan says that he has completed the first schedule of his other untitled movie with Arya and Catherine Tresa, which was shot in the dense woods of Kerala and Tamil Nadu and that the crew is leaving for Thailand for the next schedule.
