It is the season for Malayalam films to be remade in Tamil! Following an impressive list of M’town hits like Drishyam and Bangalore Days, yet another recent blockbuster Charlie, which featured Dulquer Salman and Parvathy, will be remade in Tamil soon. Besides being a box office hit, the flick was praised by the critics and audiences, who described it as an enticing and feel-good love story. Since the film, directed by Martin Prakkat had an appealing story, which would suit audiences of any language, producers were competing for its remake rights. Now it is learnt that Prateek Chakravorty and Shruti Nallappa, who would be co-producing it, have procured the Tamil remake rights. She says that they are in the process of finalising the cast and crew.
