Don’t jude a movie or characterisation by seeing the teaser. I just did justice to the role — Athulya.

As we wrote first that Athulya of Kathal Kan Kattudhe fame would be essaying a bold role in VZ Dhorai’s A-maali, the same sequences which were revealed recently through the film’s teaser didn’t go well with her fans. Reportedly, she has a good fan following on her twitter account. The bold scenes where Athulya is shown with a bare back as she removes her top off, many cigarette-smoking shots, and also exposing the skin to the hilt had supposedly upset her fans who started trolling her.

In a quick damage control measure, Athulya has reacted and apologised to her fans for her role in the film. She has said, “Don’t judge a movie or the characterisation by seeing the teaser. I just did justice to my role in the film . And it is a positive character for me in the movie. I am sorry for disappointing people with those unexpected shots. They won’t be featured in the film.” She thanked few who supported her. It needs to be seen if those scenes will remain intact or will be removed when the film releases as claimed by Athulya.
