Krishna is back with a bang

These movies are ready for release in 2017, making this one of the best years for Krishna.

After churning out one film in 2015, Krishna didn’t have a single release last year. Yet, 2016 was probably the busiest for Krishna as he managed to complete five films. These movies are ready for release in 2017, making this one of the best years for Krishna.

Speaking to DC in an upbeat mood, the Yatchan actor says, “I got to be part of five different films that I really liked and all of them are up for release this year. I took every film as a challenge and sported different looks. Unique scripts excite me and so far, I’ve been part of films that are different from each other.”

Elaborating on his upcoming films, he explains, “Yakkai will hit the theatres in January. I play a college student in this film, which is about love at first sight. In Veera, which is set in Chennai, I essay the role of a jobless guy who tries to achieve something beyond his stature. Apart from this, in Pandigai I’m a street-fighter — basically, I am a waiter, but situations force me to take up street-fighting. In Vizhithiru, I portray the role of a taxi-driver, while Grahanam will see me as an over-protective boy-friend.”

Apart from these five films, Krishna has signed three more films. “I will start shooting for debutant Kiran’s project from January 14. It is a family thriller and we will be completing the film at a single stretch. I also have another film signed for Prim Pictures, for which I will start shooting from March,” he concludes.
