As reported first by this newspaper a few months back, Rakul Preet Singh has bagged the coveted role opposite Suriya in ace film maker Selvaraghavan's project. Though the makers earlier announced that Sai Pallavi of Premam fame had been brought on board, it seems the script demanded yet another heroine and it is into this role that Rakul has been cast.
Designer Neeraja Kona confirmed her inclusion as she would be styling all three actors, including Suriya.
Though her much hyped Spyder with Mahesh Babu did not do any good to her career, her recent film Dheeran Adhikaram Ondru with Karthi was a big hit. And in an earlier interview, Selva has said that he had researched a lot for a script that is intricate and has twists and turns that can't be predicted. And it is common knowledge that Selvaraghavan heroines won't be mere glam dolls and instead will have a huge place in the script. Insiders say that both Pallavi and Rakul will have solid characters to essay.
SR Prabhu and SR Prakash of Dream Warrior Pictures are to produce the movie, which will go on floors after Pongal. An official announcement of the entire cast and crew from the maker is expected soon.
