It has been five years since Ghibran stepped into the industry as a music director with the national award-winning Vaagai Sooda Vaa. Since then, there has been no looking back as he got the opportunity to work with Kamal Haasan thrice! The composer is now looking forward to an eventful 2017, as more than 10 of his films have been lined up for release.
After signing Jyothika’s Magalir Mattum, Ghibran surprised us by signing yet another women-centric movie, Aramm starring Nayanthara.
The Thoongaavanam composer says, “There are three songs in Aramm and I am very proud to be a part of the film, which is centered around a social issue. Also, it is so nice of Nayanthara to pick a socially-relevant subject instead of choosing commercial films back to back. I started the composing sessions a couple of days back.” Nayan plays a district collector in Aramm, directed by Minjur Gopi.
Apart from these two films, Ghibran is also set to work on Madhavan’s upcoming film with director Sarkunam. His other projects for 2017 include Adhe Kangal, Mayavan, Aan Devadhai, Odi Odi Uzhaikanum, and Cinderella.
