Chandini, who started her career with a big bang in Siddhu+2 alongside Shantanu under Bhagyaraj’s direction, vanished from the scene after the film was a box-office disaster. However, Tollywood beckoned her with open arms. Now, the actress has made a comeback in Tamil in a deglam avatar in the recent flick Vil Ambu. Her impressive act has garnered good reviews. Looks like her long wait is over! The large-eyed, dusky girl is now again in demand in K’town.
The actress has been recently roped in for the Vimal-starrer Mannar Vagayara, a romantic entertainer directed by Bhoopathy Pandian. Yet another significant film in which Chandini has gotten on board with is Sibiraj’s Kattappava Kanom. The actress also says that she is looking forward to Thaami, a suspense-horror entertainer that is based on a selfie clicked on a mobile phone.
Apart from these films, Chandini also has half a dozen projects in different genres — Dollar Desam in ace Ameer’s production, Bharath’s Ennodu Vilayadu which is based on horse racing, money and gambling, and Telugu film Aina Ishtam Nuvvu with Naveen Krishna and Keerthi Suresh, to name a few.
“I have meaty characters with substance in all the movies that I am presently working on. I am confident that they will give me recognition and stabilise my position in the industry,” she says with a smile.
