The Censorship details of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Darbar, which is all set for a mammoth release on 9th January, a week ahead of the festive occasion of Pongal, are out! The film has received a U/A Certificate with a run time of 159 minutes - 2 hours 39 minutes. Thalaivar’s fans are jubilant. The film, directed by AR Murugadoss, has Nayanthara in the lead while Nivetha Thomas plays the crucial role of Rajini’s daughter. Suniel Shetty will be seen as the powerful antagonist in the much-awaited movie set in Mumbai.
At the teaser launch of Darbar, Rajini, referring to a challenge he faced, had said “In a sense, I had to bring the energy in my character Aidtya Arunasalam.” Speaking at the recent promo meet in Hyderabad, the Superstar said that many people had asked him how he remains energetic even at the age of 70. And he revealed his secret formula with his inimitable smile - “You desire less, think less, eat less, sleep less and do workouts regularly. You will be happy and that’s the secret of my energy.”
Meanwhile, renowned banner Sathya Movies, which has turned out several blockbuster hits with Rajinikanth including the cult movie Baasha, has organized a three-day Superstar festival from 6th to 8th January with three of their films, namely, Panakkaran, Moondru Mugam and Thanga Magan to be screened thrice a day on all days.
