Joining the list of a few actors who made attempts to depict the controversial leader of Tamil Eelam Velupillai Prabhakaran (LTTE) is Venkatesh Kumar who has acclaimed films like Unakkul Naan, Lightman and Neelam, a film on the Sri Lankan conflict which was banned by the Censor Board, to his credit.
National award winner Bobby Simha has been brought on board to portray Prabhakaran in the film titled The Raging Tiger. Sources say that the actor’s uncanny resemblance to the slain Sri Lankan Tamil leader fetched him the role. The movie is said to chronicle the life and times of Prabhakaran from his birth till his rise as a militant leader.
