Aishwarya Rajesh replaces Trisha in Saamy Square

Trisha walked out of the project as she had creative differences with the team.

Saamy Square, a sequel to the Vikram-Trisha 2003 blockbuster film Saamy in Hari’s direction was announced a few months back with Keerthi Suresh also being part of the cast. Trisha walked out of the project as she had creative differences with the team and made it public by posting in her social media handle saying, ‘Due to creative differences, I have chosen to opt out of Saamy 2. Wishing the team good luck.’ A few attempts were made to bring her back on board and reportedly, the makers even went to Tamil Film Producers Council and gave a complaint against Trisha. But the VTV actress, who had her own reasons to act the way she did, would not budge an inch.

The big news now is that Aishwarya Rajesh, known for her power packed performances, has been roped in to play the cute and innocent Brahmin girl, which Trisha did in the original. And it seems Hari has already completed the portions involving Chiyaan and Aishwarya (see pictures).

Produced by Shibu Thameem, the music has been scored by Devi Sri Prasad. Chiyaan has gone for an image makeover to look strong and fit for the role of a top rung police officer. One may recall that Vikram and Aishwarya are already working together in Gautham Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram. Perhaps that did the trick?
