Oviya is the new ghost thriller directed by Gajan Shanmuganathan, which revolves around a child played by Suviksha Jayaratnam. “It is the story of a child who gets ignored by her parents due their busy materialistic life. The kid who dies due to her parents’ negligence returns as a ghost. The reminder is all about whether she takes revenge on her parents or not,” reveals Gajan. While Kandeeban, who essays the male lead, doubles up as the producer as well, popular Sri Lankan actress Mithuna debuts in Tamil as the heroine.
The movie has a message to today’s parents who indulge in their own world and neglect their children, he adds. Padmajan is the music composer and Anis Rahman of Vijay TV fame has been roped in for choreography.
Veteran Bhagyaraj released the teaser of Oviya recently and praised the making of the film.
