Mani Ratnam honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

Apparently, Mani started his film career with a Kannada movie Pallavi Anu Pallavi before becoming big in Tamil.

The Karnataka government and Bengaluru International Film Festival have constituted a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ from this year. Accordingly, they have chosen famous filmmaker Mani Ratnam, who has completed 25 years in Indian cinema, for the prestigious award and are honouring him with cash prize of Rs 10 lakhs and a citation at a glittering function. Apparently, Mani started his film career with a Kannada movie Pallavi Anu Pallavi before becoming big in Tamil.
