Kat plays many roles, offscreen

While she is busy experimenting on screen with her roles, Katrina Kaif has extended her role off screen too. Katrina plans to inaugurate a nursery school for orphans, giving shape to her mother Sussane’s long-time dream.
Katrina said her mother wanted to open a nursery school for abandoned children and around Rs 30 lakhs was needed for it. Kat, who is wholeheartedly supporting her mom’s venture, managed to raise the money easily.
“I want to fulfill my mother’s dream and I am looking forward to it. I wish to see it materialise in the forthcoming year,” says Katrina.
Katrina is also looking forward to opening a fashion house. It is believed that Katrina’s friend and designer Rocky S might be a partner or an adviser for this ambitious project. If the buzz is to be believed, Katrina might open retail chains across India.
Katrina has said she feels it is premature to talk about her offscreen plans. “I know I want to start this in a big way. Rocky has been a dear friend for many years and he will very much be in my scheme of things, but all this will take time,” she said.
