Madonna took to Instagram to hit back at BET Awards for their controversial Tweets about her Prince tribute at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards. The superstar hit back saying, “Wearing the jacket Prince gave me back in the day without permission from BET. ??. lol! God Bless America,” she wrote.
Madonna stood next to the singer Marilyn in the photo. “And yes that’s Marilyn!,” Madonna wrote for the caption, reported justjared.com.
Madonna’s post came after BET tweeted and later deleted the post about their own Prince tribute. “Yeah, we saw that,” the tweet began, referencing Madonna’s performance ahead of a similar tribute set to take place on June 26 at the BET Awards. “Don’t worry. We got you.” the tweet read.
