Chris Evans jokes about Jeremy Clarkson

The relaunch of BBC Two's Top Gear is now hosted by Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc.

Chris Evans had a dig at Jeremy Clarkson in the new Top Gear episode – but angry fans loyal to Clarkson called the show ‘Flop Gear’ and called Evans ‘cringe’ and a ‘poor man’s Clarkson’. They also said Evans was ‘shouty’, had ‘no banter’ and also called his co-host Matt LeBlanc ‘wooden’.

Clarkson was earlier fired for punching producer of the show Oisin Tymon and for calling him a ‘lazy Irish c***’ because he couldn't order a steak after a long day of filming in March last year. And now, Evans and Matt LeBlanc started the show; LeBlanc being the first non-British host in the programme’s 39-year history.

Since Evans and LeBlanc took over, the BBC show has suffered a series of setbacks, putting the series in jeopardy, reported dailymail.co.uk.

Clarkson who is now working on a new show, stayed silent on Twitter. But, his daughter Emily tweeted: “Nope. Not even a little bit convinced.”
