'Michael Jackson sexually abused me when I was 12', claims woman

A woman has accused the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson of molesting her three decades ago. In her lawsuit, the woman claims that it all started in 1986, when she along with her mother had stopped by at the singer’s Hayvenhurst house for sightseeing.

The woman, who filed the lawsuit as a Jane Doe, says the ‘Thriller’ singer invited her, who was then 12 years old, and her mother inside the house to show off his “candy area.” She further claims that Michael caressed her genitals and also kissed her mouth and body. Jane Doe also alleges there was vaginal penetration.

According to the documents submitted by her, the child abuse continued through puberty until she turned 16, after that Michael Jackson started writing cheques to keep her quiet.

She also claims he paid her $900,000 to deter her from addressing the media. To support her claim, the unidentified woman, who is now in her 40s, has submitted a number of letters which were written to her by the singer.

In one of the hand-written notes, the star wrote: “Your Valentine's picture was so original and sweet. I love you sooo much also you're making me love you even more, the more I talk to you. I'm crazy about you. All my love Michael, the Monopoly King.” A series of other notes make similar comments. After almost 30 years, the woman is now suing several of Jackson’s companies for negligence, emotional distress and much more.

However, the Michael Jackson estate is yet to respond to the allegations and make a statement.

This claim came just months after Michael Jackson’s former doctor revealed that the singer became infatuated to his British god-daughter when she was just 5 years old. However, the singer always vehemently denied child sex abuse rumours surrounding him. The singer also paid millions of dollars to settle many cases with the families of young boys who claimed to have been sexually abused by Michael at his Neverland ranch in California.

Though in 2005 the jury acquitted Michael of each of 14 allegations in court, the rumours have never gone away.
