Cheryl and Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini are now officially divorced

Singer Cheryl has officially finalised her divorce from Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

Married for 18 months, Cheryl, 33, and Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini have received the decree nisi that terminates their marriage, reported E! online.

"Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini have today obtained Decree Nisi in their divorce proceedings. No further comment will be made and they ask for their privacy to be respected," a rep for Cheryl said in a statement.

The duo, who first met at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014, got married about three months later on July 7, 2014, in Mustique.

Cheryl is currently dating former One Direction crooner Liam Payne, 23. In May 2016, the duo made their red carpet debut as a couple at Eva Longoria's Global Gift Gala.
