Liam Payne says ending ‘One Direction’ was scary but it would have killed him had he continued the band.
Liam Payne appeared on Tuesday’s podcast episode of Table Manners with Jessie Ware, opening up about why ‘One Direction’ needed to break up. Liam talked about the detrimental effect the group had on him and its other members, says People.
“I needed to stop, definitely. It would have killed me. One hundred percent,” he said of the band, adding, “You’ve got no control over your life. We were definitely overworked… I had no personal life. I learned nothing about myself.”
Liam had previously also admitted that when ‘One Direction’ was at the height of their fame, he often coped with alcohol.
