The Charmed actress is speaking out in the wake of the hashtag WhyWomenDontReport taking over Twitter. Rose McGowan opened up about an incident where she was sexually assaulted by a studio head. “When no one else in Hollywood would listen, you heard. When no one else in Hollywood would do, you acted,” Rose tweeted, thanking film producer Cassian Elwes for supporting her.
She continued, “A (female) criminal attorney said because I’d done a sex scene in a film I would never win against the studio head #WhyWomenDontReport…because it’s been an open secret in Hollywood/media & they shamed me while adulating my rapist.” Her another tweet read, “Because my ex sold our movie to my rapist for distribution.” After fans supported her, she responded, “It is time for some goddamned honesty in this world.”
