Mumbai: Controversies never seem to let Lindsay Lohan live in peace. The ‘Mean Girl’ actress was in news a couple of months back after a video of her fighting with then fiancé Ebor Tarabasov went viral on the internet. Lindsay went on record to accuse Ebor of adultery and abusive behaviour, even revealed that she had to buy her own engagement ring as Ebor was ‘broke’.
This time, she has now created a furore about her religious status. Lohan, who has always been vocal about her interest in Islam, has deleted her pictures and posts from social media accounts. Her Instargram bio reads, ‘Alaikum salam’, which in Arabic means ‘Peace be unto you’.
Lindsay has been spotted carrying a Quran a couple of times and last October, she had even posted a picture of her wearing a ‘hijaab’ (headscarf) that was gifted to her by a Syrian refugee.
Now her social media cleanup has triggered news of the actress converting to Islam and Muslims from around the world are showering her with congratulatory messages.
