Real life best friends JLo and Leah Remini to play reel life friends in Second Act

Mumbai: This New Year, Hollywood diva Jennifer Lopez brings to us her next film Second Act. Having played casting director by choosing her co-star Milo Ventimiglia, we now hear that JLo will be her real life best friend's reel life best friend in the film. Leah Remini and Jennifer have been friends for many years now and Second Act marks their first time working together on a movie, in which Lopez and Remini play Maya and her best friend Joan, respectively.

During the casting process, Jennifer was certain on who should play Maya’s ride-or-die friend Joan in the film and also expressed her long term desire to work with Leah. Director Segal couldn't be happier about the pair's existing chemistry which translated into every scene.

Jennifer Lopez says, “We’d been trying to work together for a long time and this felt heaven-sent. We’re such good friends in real life that we’ve lived those moments where we had to push each other through difficult times. The more it got real, the better it was, whether we were laughing and acting really stupid like we would normally do, or if it got really emotional. Either or was perfect.”

"We were like, 'If she does it, I know that it would be something special.' Because the relationship that Maya and Joan have is very special, and the relationship that we have is very special," Lopez added. "I knew that if we could capture our real honesty, our real love, our real humor, then that would be something really entertaining and fun for everybody to see."

Directed by Peter Segal, the film also stars Vanessa Hudgens, Treat Williams and Milo Ventimiglia. The film will release on 11th January, 2019.
