Jennifer Aniston skipped the Golden Globes red carpet as she would have to come face-to-face with Angelina Jolie for the first time in three years.
Both were expected to take a turn at the carpet ahead of the night’s star-studded ceremony. However only Angelina, 42, walked the carpet, earning a spot on the best dressed list.

Later during the event, Jennifer appeared on stage to hand out an award with Carol Burnett to The Handmaid’s Tale star Elizabeth Moss. According to reports on DailyMail.co.uk, a video doing the round on internet taken from behind Aniston and Carol Burnett shows Jolie studiously avoiding the stage and instead looking down at the table she was seated at. The same shot also shows Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson sneaking a peek at Jolie seemingly ignoring Aniston.

Some viewers took to Twitter to speculate about the rivalry between the two actresses. One user wrote, “You’re lying if you can’t relate to Dakota staring at Angelina’s face for a reaction to Jennifer being on stage (sic).” While another twitter user wrote, “Dakota Johnson got caught watching Angelina Jolie while Jennifer Aniston presented: When you’re trying to be subtle, but you can't help yourself (sic).”
