Comedian Ralphie May dies aged 45

His manager confirmed that he suffered a cardiac arrest.

In a sad incident, comedian Ralphie May died after suffering a cardiac arrest on Friday in Las Vegas. He was 45.

According to TMZ.com, Ralphie had been battling pneumonia for six weeks. His manager, Judi Marmel, confirmed the news and said, “As his manager and his friend, I will miss his laugh, his generosity to fellow comedians, his trademark orneriness, and his enormous love of life. He left us entirely too soon — and we can only wonder where his comedy might have taken all of us. We send our love to his family, his fans, and all the comics who shared stages with him across the country.”

Ralphie is known for finishing in second place during the first season of Last Comic Standing, appearing on Inside Amy Schumer and in his Netflix comedy specials, Ralphie May: Unruly and Ralphie May: Imperfectly Yours.

Tributes have poured in on the social media for the comic, with fellow celebrities heaping praise on the work of the comedian.
