Deepika sports an all new look

After Priyanka Chopra, it’s Deepika Padukone’s turn to cut her tresses short. After Love Aaj Kal, the actress is all set to get back on screen with Karthik Calling Kathik with a new look.

“I liked the film and signed up for it. But it was only after everything was finalised that the makers told me I have to cut my hair. It was a kind of trap!” she quips, adding, “But I am glad that I did it. As an actor it is important to experiment with your looks, especially if it makes your character look more authentic.”

Deepika says she is excited about the film. “Karthik Calling Karthik is a romantic thriller, which is an unexplored genre in Bollywood. My character, Sonali, is interesting and I thought it would be a challenge to take up this role,” says the actress.
