Watch: Raveena's Maatr asks some seriously pertinent questions on rape culture

The trailer of the film is hard-hitting and doesn't compromise or go soft on its stance.

Mumbai: Raveena Tandon was last seen in the quickly forgotten '3 Chehare,' but the actress seems to have bounced back quite well with her upcoming film.

The actress plays a rape victim who is desperately trying to seek justice.

The film puts a lot of emphasis on the the prevalent tolerence of rape culture in the country.

Raveena's character goes berserk after she's denied justice, taking law into her own hands.

While ‘Maatr-The Mother’ has been written by Michael Pellico and directed by Ashtar Sayed, the film is being produced under the banners CDB Musical in association with Anjum Rizvi Film Co., Manoj Adhikari Production and Pugmark Films Pvt Ltd.

It will hit the theatres on April 21.
