The rumour that Ajay Devgn would be part of Om Raut’s film Adpiurush doesn’t seem to be true. The film stars Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan. Interestingly, it was Ajay who gave Om Raut a break as a director with the film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, which not only managed to remain unscathed by the coronavirus, but broke box office records this year too.
“It was earlier rumoured that Ajay could play the role of Raavan in the film. But Saif Ali Khan’s mean streak in Tanhaji meant that he was a good choice for the role. Since Ajay and Om share a great bond, it was speculated that Ajay could play an interesting cameo in the film. That doesn’t seem to be happening either, unless of course they want to keep it a secret,” says our source.
The official line from the makers is that Ajay has not been approached for the film. We need to wait and see if he is the unseen warrior in Adipurush.
