Q Jersey’s release will bring you global recognition. How does that feel?
I’m thankful Alu Aravind bestowed upon me this chance to remake Jersey.
Q The Telugu audience are die-hard fans who worship their heroes. Shahid Kapoor will definitely be compared, don’t you think?
Yes, I know that down south, fans believe in hero-worshiping. But when they watch this film, they’ll understand what I’m saying. It’s a different version of what we already have. Nani is one of the finest actors. Shahid is also one the finest actors in the country. They have their own ways of approaching their characters.
Q South actors are very disciplined. Did Shahid Kapoor have attitude?
Not at all! Shahid is a very professional actor. And it was wonderful working with him.
Q Which other Bollywood heroes are you planning to work with?
I don’t know whom from Bollywood I’d like to cast as I haven’t thought of any other actor from there. But I really like Shah Rukh Khan and I’m eagerly waiting to meet him.
