Director Luv Ranjan has signed his apparent lucky charm Nushrat Bharucha for his next untitled biggie.
Ever since Luv Ranjan started making films, Nushrat has been an integral part of all his films. Be it two parts of Pyaar Ka Punchnama, which went on to be cult films, the flop Akaashvani and the superhit Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Nushrat has been the lucky charm for the filmmaker.
So after getting Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor and possibly Deepika Padukone on board for his next untitled biggie —Luv has added Nushrat to the cast.
“It is not just about comfort with an actor, it is also a superstition for many to have certain actors in their films. Once upon a time, even Mahesh Bhatt had Avtar Gill in all his films, Sanjay Gupta had Aditya Pancholi in all his movies, and Nushrat seems to be Luv Ranjan’s Avtar Gill,” says a trade source.
Nushrat and Luv have shared a wonderful bond for four films, and she is also a part of one of his next production ventures Turram Khan, directed by Hansal Mehta and co-starring Rajkummar Rao.
