Shah Rukh Khan and wife Gauri host Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Padmaavat success

Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have worked in only one film ‘Devdas’, but the movie and their bond is remembered till date.

Sanjay Leela’s film ‘Padmaavat’ released on Republic Day after much trouble, and Shah Rukh already showed how much of a fan he is since he even thought one of the lead actors in the film Ranveer Singh is Alaudin Khilji.

The superstar and his wife now reportedly hosted the filmmaker as his film has already crossed the 500-crore mark.

A source informed Pinkvilla, "Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shah Rukh Khan have been close for the longest time since SRK starred in ‘Devdas’. Last week, Bhansali was invited to Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan's house for dinner which was hosted by Gauri. Shah Rukh, who loved SLB's movie was all praises for ‘Padmaavat’."

‘Padmaavat’ also starred Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Jim Sarbh in pivotal roles. Shah Rukh has given Deepika a launch in the industry with ‘Om Shanti Om’ and they have worked on various films ever since.
