The picture posted by lead actress Kriti kulhari gives us a sneak peek into Bhandarkar's 70s-inspired set.

Mumbai: Set in India’s 18-month Emergency period of 1975, this film is the story of a girl with speech impediment and her love for poetry. Directed by National award-winning director Madhur Bhandarkar, the film has Kirti Kulhari (of ‘Pink’ fame) in the lead role.

The cast and crew of ‘Indu sarkar’ have begun shooting. Just today Kriti gave us a sneak peek into their world of 70s with a picture of her and the seasoned director engrossed in a deep conversation.

She wrote: A sneak peek into the 70's of Dilli.. With my director @imbhandarkar.. #InduSarkar.. #bobby.. #connaughtplace..

While Kirti rocks the 70s salwar suit look, a poster of the iconic ‘Bobby’ at the backdrop is unmissable. And that sky-coloured vintage car only adds to the 70s charm that Bhandarkar has managed to recreate it with perfection.

As part of the film’s preparation, Bhandarkar had met many renowned politicians like L K Advani and has read books on the emergency period.

While Kirti kulhari plays the titular role, Neil Nitin Mukesh will have a crucial role to play in the film.
