Double treat: Hrithik's Krrish and Aamir's Mahabharata to go the Baahubali way

When S.S. Rajamouli, a.k.a Jakkanna, started working on his Baahubali project, he knew he was making a two-part film; ditto with Anurag Kashyap, who had a similar ambition with Gangs of Wasseypur. And now, because of the way the script for the Krrish series has shaped up, veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan too has decided to roll out two films back-to-back.

So, Krrish 4 and Krrish 5 will be scripted and shot consecutively, keeping Hrithik Roshan quite busy. “Gudduji (Rakesh Roshan) will now be casting simultaneously for both the films as he will require dates from all the important actors in the film. This is the first time that a project of this magnitude will be mounted in Bollywood. Following Gudduji’s lead, Aamir Khan’s Mahabharata too may follow the same idea when going on the floors,” says an insider.

Krrish 4 and Krrish 5 will be made in Hindi and dubbed in other languages. Ramayana, on the other hand, will be a trilingual film in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Releasing the film in three parts will help producer Allu Aravind save money of the Rs 500 crore project.
