Veteran film distributor Raj Bansal let the news out that Sanjay Dutt who had recently confirmed with a video that he was fighting cancer is now free from the disease. Bansal posted a picture with Sanjay saying, “So happy for you Sanju.”
Recently Dutt had pointed out a scar running from the left eyebrow to the back of the head and said that he was fighting the disease and would be out of it soon. “This is a recent scar of my life, but I’ll beat it. I’ll be out of this cancer soon,” he had said in the video.
It can be recalled that both Sanjay’s mother Nargis Dutt and his first wife Richa Sharma had fallen prey to the Big C.
Sources inform that the news came out on Monday when, “Sanju had a Positron Emission Tomography (PET) report at the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai which showed that there were no more cancerous cells present in his system. The PET scan is the most authentic of the reports that one can tell whether cancer cells are present in the body or not. An official announcement is slated to come out later in evening,” say sources.
Sanjay had mentioned in August that he was taking a break from work for medical reasons and had asked fans not to speculate.
On the work front Sanjay is all set to restart a bit of work on KGF Chapter 2.
