'Raees' girl Mahira Khan is addicted to Bollywood and it's charm

Just the other day, Mahira Khan told the BBC that Bollywood was never her priority. Now, in the trailer of her new Pakistani film 7 Din Mohabbat In, Mahira is actually heard mouthing the line, “Love mein no thank you, no sorry” from Salman Khan’s Maine Pyar Kiya.

This, just a few days after a video surfaced showing her lip-syncing to Lata Mangeshkar’s Jahan Bhi Jaati Hoon from the Raj Kapoor-Nargis starrer Chori Chori. Quite clearly, Mahira is far from done with Bollywood.

Also, the buzz is that the unofficial embargo on Pakistani artistes working in Bollywood is likely to be lifted, and that could mean good news for Mahira, who has starred in Raees alongside Shah Rukh Khan.

A source from the ruling party says, “There was never a ban as such. It’s entirely up to Bollywood whether it wants to work with Pakistani artistes or not.”

Meanwhile, Mahira’s friend Ranbir Kapoor’s father, Rishi Kapoor, has expressed a desire to visit Peshawar, the Pakistani town that the Kapoors originally hail from. Now, who better to show him around town than Mahira herself?
