Real-life inspiration? Siddartha to star in, produce series on business family

Son of beleaguered business tycoon Vijay Mallya and actor, Siddharth Mallya aka Sid is working on a brand new project, which he is starting from scratch. Industry buzz is that Sid is working on a dynamic international series dedicated to the inner workings of a powerful and complicated Indian business family. Of greater interest is the fact that he is not only creating the series, but will also star in it.

Says a source, “The show, tentatively titled Vultures, focuses on the dog-eat-dog culture intrinsic to the business world and business families. It will have as much of an Indian flavour as an international one. Sid will be partnering with Homecoming producer Paul Kampf, who recently completed the Laurence Fishburne thriller, Imprisoned.”Given the current boom of digital content, Sid’s latest venture is sure to gather momentum. Will he draw inspiration from his father's life and experiences? Only time will tell.
