Shah Rukh to make an appearance in first episode of Kapil Sharma's new show

Mumbai: For years now, Kapil Sharma and his famous show Comedy Nights With Kapil have become synonymous with entertainment in the Indian household. The show was pulled off air after reports of a huge fallout between Kapil and the channel.

Kapil, who headed the show and kept everyone entertained with his trademark comic antics, will be kick starting his new show with a rival channel. There is immense brainstorming going on as Kapil's team can't have the same characters because Colors owns the right of the original show on television.

According to reports, if all goes well, the stand-up comedian will shoot the first episode with Shah Rukh Khan. The actor, who has made several appearances in the past few months, will be present to promote his upcoming film Maneesh Sharma's 'Fan'. The two will be joined by other team members- Navjot Sidhu, Sumona Chakravarti, Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar and Kiku Sharda. Kapil plans on unveiling his new show at a press conference next month.

Earlier, when Shah Rukh was asked to comment over 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' being pulled off air, he had said, “He’s a very talented man, one of the best stand-up comics we have. Apart from that, the film that he has done Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, he’s done very good work in it. Hope he does something else soon so that we all can be entertained.”

Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Virat Kohli have shot for the promos welcoming the return of Kapil on national television.
